Wisdom, Word, Light, & Glory ... Tue Feb. 7, 2012 MORNING

Tuesdays seem to be my restart days...  So after reflection Sunday and Monday I aim at a renewed morning and evening prayers and scripture meditation.

Today's reading were from a simple reading plan - it is the 7th so Proverbs 7 and Psalms ending in 7

MY TAKE AWAY:

Proverbs 7:  The importance of binding God's word not just to our heart but also to the places in our lives that will keep His Word ever before us.  If we don't do this we fall prey to temptation and don't even realize it until it is too late.

Psalm 97 speaks of a truth that I absolutely love and that I am reminded of with nearly every rising sun.

6 The heavens declare His righteousness,
And all the peoples have seen His glory.

10 Hate evil, you who love the LORD,
Who preserves the souls of His godly ones;
He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown like seed for the righteous And gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Be glad in the LORD, you righteous ones,
And give thanks to His holy name.

So with the rising of the sun, I am reminded of His righteousness and His glory, and the words of the psalmist ring to the truth in my heart that the beauty of each sunrise is sown like seed for the righteous, and as a declaration of His faithfulness, righteousness, and glory ... that all mean are without excuse ... and that by the revelation of His righteousness, faithfulness, and glory we are to be amazed and drawn to repentance and worship into His glorious Light.

PRAYER:

From glory to glory Lord ... make me and change me.   I will declare your glory and dwell in Your righteousness, loving Your Word, keeping it ever before me and hating evil (fleeing from all that would draw me into the trap of wickedness).

Lord as you have sown Your light into me, may it bear the your fruit and make me bold to SHINE it into my world in every moment.  May your Words and praise be ever on my lips that everyone in my life would see Your glory and truth and be set free from the bondage of sin into the glorious freedom of your light & life, by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ, the will of the Father, and the work of the Holy Spirit.

AMEN
