My words and reputation out shine the reality of my actions. This is pride. I confess it and turn from it. Father forgive me, wash me, and make me - these are things you do and I suit my life to this work. I confess that works with out faith is empty religion and self righteousness and faith without works is dead/void nothingness. You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek and follow You. May my prayers be about who you are,
may my mind/heart be filled with not just the letter and ideas from your Word but the life and full of life and truth sanctifying my words and deeds, making the depths if me holy as you are holy. I am yours I confess it and acknowledge it within my own soul. It is you alone that makes me holy and you have been faithfully transforming my life for a purpose. I confess with my mind thoughts and words that you are God alone and faithfully complete all the works you begin. I choose again this morning to do my part, to abide (dwell, have my heart mind thoughts deeds work-work, service to/for my family, my everything as much as I understand what that is, live take up residence in) the Name and truth and light of who you are. To as diligently as I know how, to as humbly as I know how, seek You and acknowledge you in Spirit and in Truth, in every situation, in every thought. Thank you Jesus for your perfect life lived in the flesh in our place, thank you for giving your perfect God-man self as the spotless acceptable and costly sacrifice, thank you for the resurrected life you live and give to those of us who believe, thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to teach, reveal, help, comfort, encourage, council, and faithful advocate for each true and surrendered follower/disciple of yours. I know you have set before me a race to be run. I know that discipline and a sound mind are a gift and fruit of abiding in your Spirit, that your spirit dwells in me, continue your work to produce your endurance and persevere not just to achieve some man made concept of survival but to attain and make my own the surpassing greatness of life in You. Jesus, I sincerely ask, that your fullness would fill me (this earthen vessel) to a "fuller-ness" and that same fullness (unhindered/unfiltered/unpolluted) of you would overflow out of (through) my life (like running filling water flows over the top and out every crack of a cup) into every situation, task, prayer request, challenge, ... Yes into everything today. It is a lot that I am asking. But you are able to do so much more than I can imagine and ask. Thank you my Lord for listening to this prayer as I have taken time to write it out to you.
Thank you for washing me and renewing and transforming my mind. May I follow in your footsteps Jesus being ever listening to the Father, ever obedient to your Spirit, and ever determined and focused on serving and praying for others. May those words of love, those deeds of service and every prayer be according to your Name (in Spirit and Truth).
