Perspective and Paradigms

Perspective and Paradigms

What I see …

What God sees …

Romans 8:28 (HCSB)
We know that, all things work together [that God works together in all things] for the good [the ultimate good] of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.

Philippians 1:5 (HCSB)
5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now (A). 6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you [a good work among you] will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. 7 It is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I have you in my heart [because you have me in your heart], and you are all partners with me in grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and establishment of the gospel (B). 8 For God is my witness, how deeply I miss all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9 And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment (C), 10 so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

God will carry [the good work begun] on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus for those that are:
(A) steadfast continuing partnership in/with the gospel
(B) unwavering partners in grace regardless of circumstance (in context, whether Paul was in prison or out in the defense and confirmation of the gospel (AMP))
(C) already growing in love founded in the Godly knowledge, wisdom & discernment

Hebrews 12:1-7 (HCSB)
Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, 2 keeping our eyes on Jesus, [looking to Jesus] the source and perfecter [the founder and completer] of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne.
3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, so that you won’t grow weary and lose heart. 4 In struggling against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons:
My son, do not take the Lord’s discipline lightly
or faint when you are reproved by Him,
6 for the Lord disciplines the one He loves
and punishes every son He receives.[Pr 3:11-12]

7 Endure suffering as discipline: God is dealing with you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?

Philippians 3:12-13 (HCSB)
12 Not that I have already reached the goal or am already fully mature, but I make every effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brothers, I do not [yet] consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, 14 I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly [upward] call in Christ Jesus.

PRAYER:
I re-commit this morning to make every effort to renew and continue my pursuit of the UPWARD call that you have taken hold of me for.
Amen

The Word of God speaks the purposes of my Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit teaches, guides, and empowers me to act accordingly.
